In the past, the Township of Norwich has experienced emergencies as a result of severe weather-related incidents, such as tornadoes. Although environmental events such as severe weather are most likely to occur in the Township, the Township’s other primary hazards are related to hazardous materials, transportation, and energy-related events. The Township has a strong agricultural base supported by several populated villages and hamlets, and commercial and industrial occupations dispersed throughout the Township, which presents other unique hazards that may impact the environment, populated areas, and municipal infrastructure. The Township has an Emergency Response Plan online or by contacting the Township office.
